National Unity

National Unity

May our country, O Lord, flourish in every resource. Endowed with divine wisdom, the Vipra community, through penance and reflection that reached every horizon, has adorned our divine nation and raised it to the proud position of Vishwaguru, teacher of the world. Reading the needs of each age, it has always shown the country a path suited to the times. With the welfare of the nation at heart and a vision as vast as the infinite sky, Vipra Foundation works on. We are firmly resolved to build a prosperous and strong India. Some of the main programmes Vipra Foundation currently runs for national unity:

Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam

Regarding the whole world as one family, Vipra Foundation is committed to staying in touch to share news of cultural, literary and social activities, to fostering good qualities through the exchange of ideas, and to keeping a broad vision for the welfare of all.

Campaign for a better India

Vipra Foundation remains constantly alert to its part in building a better India, through efforts such as working to cleanse politics and bring integrity to it, raising awareness of our duty to the nation, standing firm against corruption, and campaigning against objectionable government policies.

Gita competition

The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is the foundation of the nation's life and a proud scripture of Indian culture. Vipra Foundation holds the Gita competition at the international level so that the Gita reaches every home, and so that citizens of all ages take its teachings into their lives and bring happiness to their families, society and the nation.

Cow welfare

Keeping cows brings blessings to the family, society and the nation. Vipra Foundation is working across the country to raise awareness of cow welfare and, as far as possible, to have every family keep and care for one cow, or arrange for one to be cared for. Sustained efforts are also being made to ensure that governments play an active role in this.

Reverence for the environment

Humankind is the finest creation of the environment. As an act of reverence for the environment, Vipra Foundation will support efforts to keep the Ganga from being polluted and to prevent the waste of water. It will also run a campaign for every family to plant at least one tree, and protect it, so that the country's forest wealth grows.

Prayer for the nation's welfare

Vipra Foundation envisages that, on at least one day a month, at a fixed date and time, people of every caste, class and varna come together, with gratitude to the nation, to recite a prayer to God aloud, individually and together, dedicated to the good of the country.

Establishing Sanskriti Vihars

To establish India's many-hued Sanatan culture and to make the coming generation aware of the harmful effects of globalisation, Vipra Foundation aspires to develop and carry out the idea of setting up Sanskriti Vihars, conceived as temples of culture, in different parts of the country.

Social Harmony

Social Harmony

Caste narrow-mindedness has never had any place in the Brahmin community. We have always stood for broad generosity. Brahmins have proclaimed harmony through auspicious mantras such as ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’ (may all be happy). Endowed with special wisdom and devoted to justice, the Vipra community has pursued constant spiritual practice and worship with the welfare of the whole universe in mind, and will continue to do so. Vipra Foundation wishes the whole of Indian society to become radiant and vigorous, wise and learned in science. Some of Vipra Foundation's main programmes for social harmony:

Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah

Vipra Foundation seeks the good of all through heartfelt gestures such as organising religious and moral discourses, sending blessings, good wishes and congratulations to people of all communities on their auspicious collective occasions, and sending messages of condolence at times of sorrow such as a death.

Tribute to heroes

Paying heartfelt, public tribute to the outstanding heroes of the nation and society, taking part in the birth anniversaries of the great figures of each region, and holding collective programmes on the birth anniversaries of national heroes to express reverence are an important part of Vipra Foundation's programmes.

Cultural inclusion

Building an atmosphere of cultural harmony across the whole of India, this Vipra Foundation programme includes events on national, cultural and social festivals, fairs and seminars for the exchange of ideas, sanskar (values) camps and more.

Commitment to justice

A love of justice is the highest quality of a Brahmin. To extend a helping hand, as far as one can, to anyone who suffers is the true duty of a human being. Wherever injustice is done to any caste or class, Vipra Foundation is firmly resolved to show its commitment to justice and stand against it.

Encouraging talent and skill

The aim of Encouraging Talent and Skill is for the Vipra community, in fulfilment of its sense of duty, to encourage, reward and felicitate excellence in fields such as education, literature, sport, acting, music, dance and painting, and to hold programmes for this purpose.

Social concerns

Standing for change suited to the times while keeping our traditions, Vipra Foundation is committed to raising awareness in society so that outdated customs and practices change, to serving and caring for the elderly in keeping with our culture, to helping the afflicted as far as possible, and to the Beti Bachao (Save the Daughter) campaign.

Community Progress

Community Progress

Only when the triveni, the three streams of knowledge of our tradition, community consciousness and self-examination, keeps flowing through society does society stand like the king of pilgrimage places itself and bring joy and blessing to humanity. Only when Brahminhood awakens will the nation awaken. When society rises with a new consciousness, new energy and positive thinking, the nation will become strong on its own. Vipra Foundation is working in a planned way and with dedication, in an open and generous spirit, for the all-round development of society.
