Vipra Foundation ("we") is a society registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961, with its central office at Keshar Kunj, 19/1A Roy Street, Kolkata 700020. This policy explains what personal information viprafoundation.in collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Why we use it
- To process your membership and connect you with your zonal unit.
- To tell you about programmes and events of the Foundation and its zones. You can opt out at any time.
- To show approved members in the Vipra Family directory.
- To reply to your questions.
- To keep the website secure and meet legal requirements.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
The Vipra Family directory
Approved members appear in the public directory with name, father's name, gotra, city and state only. Mobile number, email, date of birth and address are never shown, and the directory cannot be searched by them. To be removed from the directory, write to us and we will remove your entry within 15 days.
Who we share it with
- Office bearers of your zone and the central organisation, for membership and programme work only.
- Service providers who run our website hosting, email or SMS, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Government or law-enforcement authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Member details are kept while your membership is active. If you withdraw, we remove you from the directory and delete your details within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep. Server logs are kept for one year for security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct or update your details, to stop messages, to remove you from the directory, or to delete your details. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: a message to us is enough. We reply within 30 days.
Under-18s
Membership is open to adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly register anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
Photographs
Photographs from public programmes may appear in our news and gallery. If you would like a photograph of you removed, send us its link and we will take it down.
Security
Access to member details is restricted to authorised office bearers, and the website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection.
